NERD ALERT

UNLOCK THE UNEXPECTED

A space for the perpetually curious:

We get to enjoy someone geek out about their thing, learn something random…
also snacks.

Yes, it's exactly what you're hoping for!

Hey [Name/Everyone],

I'm starting something I've been thinking about for a while, and I can't do it without you.

WHAT THE BUTT IS NERD ALERT?

We gather to witness someone geek out about their thing.
New obsession, old obsession, expertise, recent rabbit hole—anything!

Here's the idea:

The things we're genuinely obsessed with—the hobbies we've fallen into, the topics we can't stop researching, the skills we've quietly mastered—rarely see the light of day. We talk about work, weather, weekend plans. But we don't often get to witness each other light up about what we actually care about.

So I'm creating a space for that.

Here's how it works:

Every 6-8 weeks, we gather at our place. One or two people present on something they're passionate about—15-40 minutes, whatever format fits (slides, demo, workshop, tasting). Then we ask questions, hang out, and leave knowing something we didn't before.

Here's the catch (and the gift):

If you're attending, you won't know the topic in advance. You're showing up for the people—trusting that whatever someone cares enough to share will be worth your time.

What I'm asking of you:

Show up curious. Ask good questions. Bring snacks. Leave your phone in your pocket during presentations.

And if you have something you're obsessed with, consider presenting. All levels of "expert" welcome. Rough drafts encouraged.

This only works if the right people are in the room—people who are curious, generous with their attention, and willing to geek out without judgment.

That's you. So... you in?

P.S. If this sounds even a little intriguing, trust that instinct and say yes.
